Hello all! I'm Christopher Meyer, a computer science student at SIUE expected to graduate in Winter of 2027. I am open to Software Engineering internships in Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2027 as well as freelance software development opportunities.
This past summer, I worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Zipper, a studio management platform for boutique fitness studios. In addition to that, within the past year I've worked with multiple clients of local businesses to develop, host, and maintain websites, and I am open to working with more! I can build websites, applications, internal software tooling, APIs, etc. If you are looking for a developer—be that for a website or to help replace an internal software tool or system that you are frustrated with—feel free to reach out! Working with me, you get a tool built to do exactly what you want. No signing up, managing, and wrangling a generic product—I build it, host it, and maintain it for you, so all you have to do is use it.

Experience
Software Engineer Intern @ Zipper
Mar 2026 – Aug 2026Remote
- Shipped 50+ features and bug fixes across a studio management platform for boutique fitness studios, spanning a full-stack TypeScript codebase covering CRM, Stripe payments, scheduling, and staff management.
- Extended an autonomous, agentic AI pipeline that drafts end-to-end code changes, advancing draft tickets to a runnable state and verifying them against live dev servers and the running web app.
- Owned delivery of agent-assisted changes from incomplete tickets to production: investigated the application and codebase, designed implementation approaches, directed and iterated on fixes for security, architecture, functionality, code quality, and UI/UX, and validated releases through CI/CD.
Freelance Software Developer @ Self-Employed
2025 – PresentRemote
- Designed, built, and deployed custom websites for local business owners end-to-end, earning 5-star client reviews.
- Sourced and onboarded clients directly, delivering tailored full-stack sites; expanding the practice toward custom software systems that integrate or replace fragmented business tools and extend marketing automation.

Exceptional Intern, Rare Find
“I was really surprised with Chris's in-depth knowledge for his age and years of experience. … He quickly stood out across all other candidates I had met with over the previous months and years with his aptitude, intelligence, creativity, and drive. … Chris is a rare find and I can't recommend him enough.”

Chris and I met after I saw his post in a local social group, advertising his freelance efforts and already showing his drive and eagerness to apply his craft. I scoped out his website and resume and saw that he was a university CS student and was leverage AI tools to make him more productive. So, obviously, the question was, "does Chris know what he's doing, or just sending AI code out the door to pad his resume and GitHub?" I was really surprised with Chris's in-depth knowledge for his age and years of experience. We talked about his approaches to AI system context engineering and integrations, how he prefers to deploy his apps and databases, and what frameworks/libraries he enjoys and why. He quickly stood out across all other candidates I had met with over the previous months and years with his aptitude, intelligence, creativity, and drive. He worked with us for a few months and he hit all the qualities and behaviors you could ask for in a junior, often exceeding expectations: - He worked autonomously but asked for help when he needed it, showing what he tried already and what particular sticking points he had. - He produced quality output, efficiently and well-validated. - He offered creative new solutions to our platform and to our developer experience. - He stayed on top of emerging technologies, offering his opinion and insights with clear understanding of the topic. Chris is a rare find and I can't recommend him enough.

Outside of work I like to hang out with friends and stay active. I go to the gym regularly, bike, and run. I also really enjoy traveling, especially to places like national parks. When I'm staying in, I like to read, watch movies, and listen to music.
